    Good goals and advice – best of luck with them! I don’t really make new year resolutions – I prefer to make goals as and when I realise I need to do something.

  5. I don’t make resolutions but I would have to make them within reason, I do want to keep up physically and bring my blog numbers up.

  6. No resolutions here but I am still working on some of the long term goals I set back in 2017 and 2018. Wish my luck. So far I’m making pretty good progress.

  7. We make and plan goals. There is a workable plan and when we accomplish it we move on to another one

  11. I only made a dew resolutions this year. I think they are pretty attainable. The biggest one I have is to find a way to earn more money without using a lot more time in my day!

  18. I like the idea of making the goal attainable. It is really common for people to set goals this time of year that only set themselves up for failure. I have set a reading resolution for myself and so far it is going really good but I do have a lot of time and a lot of books still, although I have confidence.

  19. I think making the goal attainable is the most important thing. I do goals versus resolutions. With goals, you have a whole year to achieve something. With resolutions, it’s easy to mess up and say “forget it” by the end of January. 😀

    This is such a great post and a very good motivation article indeed. As we all know every new year comes a resolutions that we promise to our self but keeping it and doing it without doubt is the hardest thing to do.

  23. Setting clear, specific, attainable goals is so important. Making vague, too-broad goals is really hard to keep.

  25. I think last year was the first time I have ever kept a New Years Resolution. Stopping to drink Coca Cola because had to get my blood sugar down according to doctor orders. So I know keeping a new years resolution can be tough. So these were some nice suggestions to keep in mind this time of year. Great post!

  32. I don’t really New Year’s resolutions anymore, but I do try to small, attainable goals for myself throughout the year. One of my goals is to start hiking more since it’s something I’ve always enjoyed doing.

  34. Setting realistic goals is mega important for actually achieving them! I like your list of 2019 goals. As far as figuring out your self-worth, remind yourself every day how damn worthy you are. Speak kindly of yourself and to yourself. Before long, you’ll start believing yourself. If you wouldn’t say it to your best friend, don’t say it to yourself 😉

  35. These are wonderful tips, I never keep so much resolutions as I won’t able to finish it as i wish. This time i have two of them let me see if I will able to finish it without break.

    I think major resolutions like weight loss and quitting cigarettes are useless unless you already have a plan in place.

  40. I love reading everyone’s goals! I totally agree with your tip to stick to your goal for at least the first month. It’s so much easier to slack when you start off inconsistently!

  43. I think you have some reasonable goals, and I can relate to some of them. Particularly, the blogging and Etsy shop goals are similar to my own. I can even relate to some of your personal goals: Figure out my self worth. Be more confident in my body. Build my savings account. Work on paying off debt. My focus phrase for the year is declutter and simplify.

    I know the past few years have been really crazy for me and this year I am planning on sticking to my to do list , Losing weight is a must for me, I know its harder for older women but I need to for my health, Its just finding ways to keep me doing just what I need to do.
