  1. that is so awesome that you have your kids helping you with your laundry! i feel like i was really spoiled as a kid and never had to learn how to do it until i went off to college.. and i’m terrified to have kids bc i feel like they might be as awful as me when i was a kid. 😛 hopefully, we’ll be able to teach our kids to help out in the house!

  2. I love how you are getting your kids involved in one of my most dreaded tasks–laundry. I have found that my boys absolutely love helping move the laundry from basket to machine. Can’t wait til they are old enough to have them handle the detergent!

  3. I have not seen this from Purex yet!! I love this lid makes measuring so much easier!! I guess measure as pouring this would probably help me to save money and not waste extra detergent.

I’ve been reading so many great things about the Purex brand. I like how handy to lid is for measuring out doses for laundry. Is this non-bio for baby and small toddler clothes? My son has the most sensitive skin ever so I have to be really careful of what I wash his clothes in. I have to do separate loads for his things and his father and I’s – so much work! 🙂

  5. That is pretty awesome! Jaiden loved helping me do laundry for the most part. He is only 7 so I am not ready to give him that chore but the day is approaching that is for sure. I love when we get to teach our children these things but it makes me feel old and want him to be small again! I love Purex products! Always something awesome!!

    1. Yea Jr is 7, I don’t let him do the washer, just unloading of the dryer, less bending over for me, I’m all for that haha

  6. Hehehehe my daughter is only two but I dream of the day she is old enough to do her own laundry…. Omg I swear it never ends!!!! Purex is definitely an awesome brand though!!! Have always been a big fan of all there detergents

  7. Awesome, I love the simple portion-and-pour interface! (As a mechanical engineer/product designer, I love seeing how creativity, efficiency, and manufacturing logistics all come together to solve a specific problem.) It seems like a great proposition for laundry since 1) liquid laundry detergent can get pretty messy with the more traditional lid-pouring techniques and 2) it’s a little easier to deal with for someone who may only have one free hand. Laundry might *even* become fun..! 😉

  8. I love the idea of the auto-measuring device … I generally use way too much detergent when I’m doing laundry. I also love the idea of teaching your children to do laundry at an early age. Far too many college students bring all their laundry home for mom to do! LOL (Including my own when they were in college.)

  9. I am going to have to check this out. I love Purex products. I had not heard of this detergent until now though so next time I shop for laundry supplies this is definitely going to be on my list.

  10. I am not familiar with purex but i remember when i was a kid i hated doing laundry because my day was thursday and it seemed that thursday we had more laundry than usual. And back home there was no washer we did everything by hand so was annoying but now with washer it’s so much easier
