“Though no one can go back and make a brand new start. Anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.”
2014 was insane to say the least, instead of setting New Year resolutions like I normally do, I wanted to give myself 20 goals to do within a year, but it doesn’t mean it’s goals only to do during this year, some of these are on-going goals. I just figured if I put it out there, I hate to be a liar and I can motivate myself to live up to my goals. I just want 2015 to be successful and I want happiness. Easy enough right?
••• BLOG •••
Neat & Organized. Keep a spreadsheet of my spending, so when tax return comes around, I’m not running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off (like now, this blows..). Keeping track of things in general that involves the blog, needs to happen, that also happens to include a blog planner, I need to make one of those too. Calendar, the whole nine yards.
More Designs. I need to stop being so lazy when it comes with my shop & designs. I need to add more to the store front on etsy and other stores. I want to offer more prints & templates. I want to really pickup where I left off and continue to do again what really makes me happy.
Less Reviews More Posts. I want to do less reviews and actually focus on blogging and more related to post, lists and fun stuff, recipes, and all that jazz..
Blogger Conferences. I want to go to my first conference, make friends and grow as a blogger.
More Views. I want to double if not triple my monthly views and keep it steady and don’t let my laziness get the best of me. Baby steps..
••• MYSELF •••
Happiness. Seems easy right? easier said than done. I need to find the happiness within that I once had. I need to be more happy in general.
Health & Fitness. I need to continue to lose weight and stay healthy. I rarely drink anything besides water or sweet tea now. It’s the only thing, I refuse to stop drinking, lol. I gotta pick back up the working out 2-3 times a week. Start doing more walking. After we move, find a gym and go regularly.
Stress Less Worry Less. I gotta stop trying to fix what’s not fixable and what I no longer have. I need to just move on and value the things I do have. All in all, I need to stress less and focus on what matters most to me, which is my kids.
Independent. There’s just somethings, I got used to in the lifestyle I had, I need to depend on others less and do more for myself.
Moving On. Pretty much explains itself.. Move on, find happiness within. You have to be happy & alone, before you can be happy with another person.
••• FAMILY •••
Get Organized. Seriously, I need to down size all of our stuff, so it will be easier when we move that we don’t just have a lot of random crap in boxes. Need to donate, trash and sort through all of our stuff.
House Rules. I need to make family house rules and stick with them. I also need to do a chore chart and make it easier for everyone, so it’s not all one person doing all the work, that the chores are split up between the kids and I. I think it will help everyone in the long run.
Family Night. Gotta take 1 night out of the week to have quality family time without electronics for game night. Then maybe a movie night as well. More family time, more family memories of having fun together.
Go to Church. Fell off that wagon, after we move, need to do that again.. It will be healthy for everyone as a whole. I miss my church back in NC so much, the people, I miss them the most.
Laugh More, Yell Less. Yup.. I know it’s been stressful on everyone over the last few years. Laughter is the best medicine, it’s best to work on this as a family.
••• OTHER •••
30 Things Before 30. I want to knock out at least half of my 30 Things, before I turn 30. There’s a lot of simple and easy things, I should be able to complete in a year.
5K Races. I want to do at least 5K races within 2015. Besides, the March of Dimes one, that’s more of a walk one. Not that, I would be running, but jogging.
Concerts. Music, I need more music concerts in my life. Besides Tyler ones, because those are amazing, don’t get me wrong. Maybe some music festivals??!!?
Wardinators. Meet some Wardinators, have a Wardinator meet-n-greet! How sweet would that be? Like an east coast meet-up!
Save Money. Yeah… gotta work on that.. I got like 30 bucks to my name right now.
These are great goals, Natalie! Very practical and realistic. I wish you the best of luck with them. You have already lost a ton of weight and look great 🙂
Aww thanks so much Alice!! I like to make goals, I know I can actually do and not bullshit myself with things I know I can’t. But since, I’ve already been working out, eating healthy, those were actually easier to do, lol
Natalie, those are a LOT of goals! I share a few of them with you although I am not actually writing them down. No New Year Resolutions for me. My husband and I always sit down and set our yearly goals together. At the top of our list is church and it always makes me smile to see church on other folk’s lists also 🙂
I wish you much luck as you strive to achieve your goals.
These are all great goals! The thing that I have found to help is having accountability and some one check in on you as you work to achieve them.
This is an awesome list. I can identify with so many of them. I’ve made a list of goals and I’m currently working on my vision board to help keep me focused for the New Year. Happy New Year and here’s to achieving all our goals.
For your blogging goals, I think a lot of them go hand-in-hand. Such as the more original posts, less reviews- I know when I am reading a blog, if there are too many reviews and not original content I get bored quickly. For the ‘other’ goals, I have a similar list to your 30 before 30, only my list is for things I want to do before I turn 25 (just a few months away now!) Unfortunately, at this point I know I won’t be able to accomplish all of them, but I’ll work on what I can. Good luck with your list and all of your goals for 2015!
You’ve so many great goals for this year. Mine are pretty similar to yours. I want to be more organised in my blogging and do less reviews too, I also want to do less reviews and concentrate on the fun stuff whilst reclaiming my blog back. I hope you can complete all your goals and have a fab 2015! 🙂
I think you will love doing a race. I know from my first one I was hooked! I think you and I have some of the same goals. I want to be more independent also. And I would love to be able to attend a blogger conference.
which blogger conference are you trying to go to? 🙂
no clue really.. but going to one or more would be fun.
I completely agree with all of your calls. I actually just bought a really expensive planner to keep or keep myself organized. I so look forward to completing all my goals this year. good luck to you
I love your list! I really enjoy that you actually broke that up into different categories. Makes it so much easier to read and to organize yourself for the year. I absolutely love organizers…that “be more organized” resolutions sounds like me, I definitely need to be more organized. Good luck to you! 🙂 You can do it! And Happy New Year!
I love your list, it’s so organised and you’ve really thought things through – I need to do that! I think you’ll love blogging conferences, I have been to them here in the UK for the past three years and had an amazing time with lovely people!
Great goals. I haven’t laid mine out yet. I’ve been blogging for more than 3 years now, and haven’t been to a blogger conference. I would like to attend one as well and actually meet some of the people that I’ve been mingling with over the years. A goal for myself is to be more productive in my work, and don’t wait until the last minute to do things. That will place less stress on myself. I would love to do a 5K one of these days. I did a March of Dimes walkathon when I was like 8 or 10 years old, so I don’t think that even counts. They do have this cool biking event where you go from town to town (spend the night places) with a huge group of mountain bike riders (in our region). I would LOVE to convince my sweetie to do this with me. I think it would be so much fun.
