Greenville South Carolina

Planning a trip to Greenville South Carolina? This travel guide will show you the top attractions, best activities, places to visit & fun things to do in Greenville, SC here!  Greenville is a city in South Carolina. It’s home to the Greenville County Museum of Art, with works by Southern artists spanning several centuries.

Exhibits at the Upcountry History Museum tell the story of upstate South Carolina. Falls Park on the Reedy has riverside gardens, a suspension bridge and waterfall views. Multi-use trails wind around lakes and hills in Paris Mountain State Park, north of the city.

I’ve lived in places where the downtown wasn’t much and you really have to travel for things to do, something more then a Walmart parking lot (because that’s what we really do in small towns). That was until I went to Greenville, South Carolina earlier this year and it’s my favorite place to visit. There’s so much more to do in a weekend, there’s something for everyone there.

While most people haven’t done much traveling in 2020, I think the place I’ve been to the most this year would be Greenville, South Carolina. Okay, I may of been going to South Carolina to see a boy, but I had soon found out that there was many things to fall in love with there as well.

Places To Eat

There’s so many options when it comes to places to eat when you’re in Greenville. I’m going to share with my favorite places I always go to when I’m in town, though I should really try something new when I go there.

Sticky Fingers Ribhouse

Home of the best barbecue from Greenville to Chattanooga. You might’ve heard of our legendary Memphis-style hickory-smoked ribs, wings, and barbecue, but there’s more to us than our award-winning food (and rugged good looks).

UP on the ROOF

Featuring unparalleled views, high rise hand-crafted cocktails, artisan wines, craft beers and a small plates menu that highlights locally-sourced seasonal ingredients, UP on the Roof is a uniquely Greenville experience. Whether you’re looking for the perfect midday retreat or you simply want to spend a night in the clouds.

Sully’s Steamers

This isn’t your ole’ plain bagel and cream cheese kind of shop. At Sully’s, we believe the world’s best sandwiches let off steam. Steamers packed with fresh, delicious ingredients melted together into an explosion of flavor. That kick back, take-a-load-off kind, the “Man, that hit the spot” kind. That’s what Sully’s is all about, so come in, eat up, and let off a little steam.

Let me tell you right now, BEST BAGELS EVER. There’s so many choices, but I always get the same thing. These bagels are so amazing. I wish we had one closer to us, I try to go there each time I’m there. You will thank me!

Tropical Grille

We prepare everything fresh, from scratch to order, to give that authentic flavor to please your taste buds. We provide our customers a fast healthy and affordable meal using only the freshest and finest local ingredients, as well as cage-free all-natural chicken.

Can’t decide where to go to eat? You could just wait for the Food Trucks to come to you. Some of the city’s freshest, most interesting, and innovative tastes are rolling around on four wheels, stopping in at parks, festivals, events, and around town on no-special-reason days like say, a Wednesday. Below are all registered food trucks in the City of Greenville! Happy taste testing!

Fun Things To Do

Whether you’re in Greenville for the weekend or a few days, there’s always something to do. Something as simple as walking downtown, there’s endless things to do, places to eat, shops to window shop and people to meet. Each time I visit, I find something new I love about the city.

Comedy Zone

Performance venue featuring stand-up comics, including national acts, brunch shows & open mikes. You can also check Groupon for deals. You can also check out their facebook page for upcoming shows. I’ve seen about 5 shows here so far.

Fall Park on the Reedy

A weekend in Greenville, South Carolina wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Falls Park. This oasis is just off of Main Street and features a series of waterfalls, gardens, an old mill, and gorgeous landscaping. Take a stroll over Liberty Bridge to get a view of the park from above.

Swamp Rabbit Trail

The Swamp Rabbit Trail is a 22-mile walk and bike path that runs along the Reedy River and up to the nearby town of Travelers Rest. Bikes can be rented at several spots downtown and some hotels in Greenville offer guests the use of bikes during their stay.

Greenville Zoo

The Greenville Zoo is a zoo in Greenville, South Carolina, United States. The zoo opened in 1960, and is located at 150 Cleveland Park Drive, near Interstate 385, on a 14-acre site within Cleveland Park. The zoo’s official website states: “A typical visit would last from an hour to an hour and 30 minutes.” Admission is $9.75 for adults, $8.75 for seniors, and military members, $6.50 for children, and $5.50 for children of military members.

If you’re looking for more family friendly things to do there’s Spare Time, Dave & Busters, Big Air Trampoline Park, Treetop Quest Greenville, Sky Zone Trampoline Park, & Frankie’s Fun Park just to name a few places.

Places To Stay

When it comes to finding a perfect place to stay in Greenville, SC – There’s so many great choices! Depending on when it is during the year, I would watch prices at hotels and waited til the day of, sometimes it was a better deal, but that’s a risk to take during warmer temps.
