The sooner you teach the kids to wash, dry & fold laundry the better off you are. We have a cycle in our house when it comes to laundry. So it all doesn’t fall on one person and that one person is me, lol. Hailey or I will normally load the washer. I showed her how to use the new Purex PowerShot and how simple it was. She caught on pretty quick. We’re half way through the first bottle. Yep, lots of laundry being a family of five and I’m out numbered by kids. Then Hailey & Jr work together to load the dryer. Jacob likes helping out too, but he also likes to close the dryer door on you while you’re in the middle of loading it. Then once it’s dry, Hannah & Jacob unload the dryer and bring it to me to fold. Which they both try to help me fold as well, which gets kinda hard to do. But Purex PowerShot works for our family, as I bet it would work for yours as well.
Purex PowerShot comes in two amazing scents, Mountain Breeze and Linen & Lilies. Mountain Breeze – heighten
your senses with the refreshing outdoor scents of crisp mountain air and springtime floral blossoms. Sizes will vary between 30 oz, 45 oz, & 90 oz. Linen & Lilies – is infused with the scent of clean linens and
sun-soaked lilies. Sizes will vary between 45 oz and 90 oz. I received the Mountain Breeze, but doesn’t Linen & Lilies sound amazing? I will have to pick up one of those! I will also need to get 90 oz with the amount of laundry I do, which you wouldn’t believe.
Open. Flip & Dose. Done.
On the first use you need to flip the bottle over with the lid close to ensure you get a full first dose. The Purex PowerShot bottle needs to be completely upside down to fill correctly. Normally you just Open the cap and flip it over. One flip is enough for a normal load. But if it’s a heavier or bigger load, you might want to do two flips to get the best results. The Purex PowerShotX engine automatically refills, so it’s ready for the next load. NEW Purex PowerShot Detergent does the measuring for you!
The Purex brand provided me with a bottle of Purex PowerShot detergent in exchange for an honest review as a Purex Insider.
that is so awesome that you have your kids helping you with your laundry! i feel like i was really spoiled as a kid and never had to learn how to do it until i went off to college.. and i’m terrified to have kids bc i feel like they might be as awful as me when i was a kid. 😛 hopefully, we’ll be able to teach our kids to help out in the house!
I love how you are getting your kids involved in one of my most dreaded tasks–laundry. I have found that my boys absolutely love helping move the laundry from basket to machine. Can’t wait til they are old enough to have them handle the detergent!
I have not seen this from Purex yet!! I love this lid makes measuring so much easier!! I guess measure as pouring this would probably help me to save money and not waste extra detergent.
I’ve been reading so many great things about the Purex brand. I like how handy to lid is for measuring out doses for laundry. Is this non-bio for baby and small toddler clothes? My son has the most sensitive skin ever so I have to be really careful of what I wash his clothes in. I have to do separate loads for his things and his father and I’s – so much work! 🙂
I have no clue… Here’s what in each of them…

That is pretty awesome! Jaiden loved helping me do laundry for the most part. He is only 7 so I am not ready to give him that chore but the day is approaching that is for sure. I love when we get to teach our children these things but it makes me feel old and want him to be small again! I love Purex products! Always something awesome!!
Yea Jr is 7, I don’t let him do the washer, just unloading of the dryer, less bending over for me, I’m all for that haha
Hehehehe my daughter is only two but I dream of the day she is old enough to do her own laundry…. Omg I swear it never ends!!!! Purex is definitely an awesome brand though!!! Have always been a big fan of all there detergents
Awesome, I love the simple portion-and-pour interface! (As a mechanical engineer/product designer, I love seeing how creativity, efficiency, and manufacturing logistics all come together to solve a specific problem.) It seems like a great proposition for laundry since 1) liquid laundry detergent can get pretty messy with the more traditional lid-pouring techniques and 2) it’s a little easier to deal with for someone who may only have one free hand. Laundry might *even* become fun..! 😉

I love the idea of the auto-measuring device … I generally use way too much detergent when I’m doing laundry. I also love the idea of teaching your children to do laundry at an early age. Far too many college students bring all their laundry home for mom to do! LOL (Including my own when they were in college.)
I am going to have to check this out. I love Purex products. I had not heard of this detergent until now though so next time I shop for laundry supplies this is definitely going to be on my list.
I am not familiar with purex but i remember when i was a kid i hated doing laundry because my day was thursday and it seemed that thursday we had more laundry than usual. And back home there was no washer we did everything by hand so was annoying but now with washer it’s so much easier
