  1. I have tried both of these new kinds and really like the Protein…Cranberry Almond. I wasn’t a big fan of the steel cut, but that is probably just me!

  2. I enjoy having oatmeal once in awhile for breakfast . I like the blue berry cranberry & cranberry almond variety. I would definitely like those! Thanks for sharing.

  3. We’ve made steel cut oats the old fashioned way, (soaked overnight to shorten the cook time) and they’re fantastic. I love that Quaker is coming up with more healthy breakfast options :). Thanks for sharing!

  4. My middle son loves oatmeal. He eats it every day. He doesn’t like the steel cut ones though :/

  5. We love steel cut oats here at home although it takes a little longer to cook than the rolled out ones. We haven’t tried this instant ones though.

    I haven’t tried either of these! I go through oatmeal phases where I eat it like 4 days a week for a few months and then I get sick of it. I always buy Quaker Oats though, so I’m sure I’ll try the cranberry almond soon 🙂

  8. I usually make my own oatmeal, usually overnight oats. I never think to buy flavoured oats because I add the flavour myself. These do sound like great flavour combos though 😉

  10. Really beautiful photos, Natalie! That Cranberry Almond Oatmeal sounds soooo yummy! The way you described it as “not tasting healthy” makes me want it even more. I hate that healthy taste. I laughed when you said “I don’t know about you, but I cant eat rocks” hahaha. Love the honesty. Great post!

  11. I’ve been seeing steel cut oats pop up more and more in recipes and products. I haven’t had a chance to try these yet. I’m a huge fan of protein, so I wouldn’t mind trying that Cranberry Almond selection.

  13. Ahhhhh Back when I was a fitness freak and lived in the gym… Pre mommy days…. I lived off of steel cut oats lol…. Awesome breakfast!!

  14. Reading this post was perfect timing for me. My husband and I are about to take off on a 5-month road trip in our (small) RV. I’ve been brainstorming quick and easy (yet nutritious) breakfast ideas and I think this is a real winner!

  15. I love Quaker oatmeal, but have never tried the Quaker Steel Cut variety before. I’ll have to check this out.
