Fallout Season 1 took me by surprise in the best way possible. As a longtime fan of the video game franchise. I was cautiously optimistic about the Prime Video adaptation—and I’m happy to say it not only met but exceeded my expectations. Now, with the physical release coming July 8. Fans can finally bring the Wasteland home on Blu-ray, DVD, or the limited edition 4K UHD Steelbook (exclusive to Amazon).

The series blends dark humor, intense drama, and jaw-dropping visuals in a way that feels both faithful to the games and fresh for new audiences. The world-building is rich, the production design nails the retro-futuristic vibe, and the performances—especially from Ella Purnell and Walton Goggins—are outstanding. Fallout Season 1 captures the chaos, moral complexity, and absurdity of the Wasteland with a style all its own.

This release isn’t just about rewatching the 8 binge-worthy episodes. It’s packed with over an hour of special features, from deep dives into character development (“Becoming The Ghoul”) to fascinating behind-the-scenes breakdowns of practical effects, costume design, and set building. For fans of the games, “Console to Camera” and “Welcome to the World of Fallout” provide an especially satisfying look at how the creators translated decades of lore to the screen.
I appreciated how the series balanced its gritty tone with moments of weird charm—just like the games. Whether you’ve played every Fallout title or are stepping into this world for the first time, Fallout Season 1 offers a compelling, high-quality experience that’s worth adding to your collection.
You can grab the Blu-ray, DVD, or the collectible 4K UHD Steelbook here on Amazon.
