Here's a look back on 2015 | #2015inPictures

Overall the year wasn’t horrible, but I wish I did things differently. But what can you do. Here’s a look back on 2015! You just move on and hope for a better outcome. I’m so ready for 2016. I’m tired of dwelling on the past and ready to do me and make 2016 about moving on to better! I hope you enjoyed the happy moments from 2015. I don’t want to talk about the not happy moments, those aren’t as fun.

Because snow mid-month is a thing in VA. Yea, winter was late early in the year and then it didn’t know how to stop. Hannah turned 4 year old! There was like no school for Febuary, there were so many snow days.

Debbie, Nic & I took a weekend trip up to Washington DC to walk around and take awesome pictures. We also saw Harry & the Potters again at the Black Cat. Lucked out and met Hang Green as well. BONUS! Made a blog about the trip, check it out here! Hailey turned 11 years old!! YESSSS!

Whoa! I was able to take a solo vacation to Baton Rouge, LA to go to my first Single Mom Conference (minus getting food poisoning and going to the ER and missing the 2nd day of the conference). I also got to meet my long time internet friend, Amanda, she is basically like a sister! I also flew on a plane for the first time in like 15 years, haha.

Hailey started Year Round school at MIDDLE SCHOOL! Not any middle school, but the middle school I went to, when I grew up here. Which was cool. Still a boring month however. Oh I went to White Lake, NC with Stephen, Nic & Kim. Should of invested in more sunblock. lol This was at the one giftshop, took a selfie with Nic.

I finally got a job! Whooo. I was like spongebob, I was a fry cook. I thought it would be a sweet job. KEYWORD: “THOUGHT” lol. That’s all that went down. Oh yes the kids came for a week visit before Jr had to start school in VA. Co-parenting is hard yo! But I’m thankful for the time I get with them.

So I scored these Hillsong Nights tickets to see Hillsong in concert in GA! So I grabbed Nic and we went on a day adventure. Let me tell you, the concert was AMAZING! I wrote about it here. It was a blasty blast!

The best month of the whole year! YES! I saw Tyler Ward 3 times in concert. Not just that. I was able to meet 4 #TWfamily friends! You can’t beat that. I also met someone who I’ve seen at the last 3 shows in VA. That’s always a plus! I also went to a dear friend’s engagement party, he’s like a brother to me, I’ve known him for like almost forever. I made them these awesome t-shirts!

I had the kids for Thanksgiving, that’s about all that’s good that happened. Oh I put my two week notice into said job talked about in August. Trust me, that’s a good thing!

Debbie, Stephen and I went to see Harry & the Potters on Dec 5. Then we back back on Dec 6 to take Hailey & my mom to the same show during the day. I had Butter Bear for the first time and it was AMAZING! Why haven’t I tried this before. haha

My niece got married after having two kids in the last 3 years. I wasn’t able to attend but I’m glad she’s happy. I ended up moving which turned out better than I thought it would so that made me happy too. 🙂

I’m a huge fan on self reflection. This can be done through photos as you’ve done or through journaling or even just simple meditation. It’s fun to look back and see what the year brought you and to think ahead to the what the future holds.

I love the quote up at the top of the page. I think being alone is one of the best things you can do for yourself.
