10 Card Games for Game Night

10 Card Games Ideas For Game Night

In the past, before everything became tech-friendly, game board nights were a popular activity we enjoyed as children. Nowadays, my friends and I prefer to gather together throughout the year and play a variety of card games that provide us with endless entertainment.

While some of these games are suitable for kids, not all of them are, so it’s best to keep that in mind. I noticed a vast selection of these games at Target, but I’m planning to wait until Black Friday to purchase them – the struggle of being young at heart.

Llama Unleashed

Make way for the newest stars in town, Llamas! Llamas Unleashed boasts 135 new cards featuring the charming and endearing creatures of agriculture. However, Llamas aren’t the only new addition to the scene.

Goats, rams, and alpacas are also included in this playful and amusing barnyard-themed party game that utilizes the beloved Unstable Unicorns mechanics you already know and adore!

Unstable Unicorns

Unstable Unicorns is a thrilling card game that combines two favorite elements: Unicorns and Destruction. The objective is to be the first player to gather seven Unicorns in your play area, referred to as your Stable.

Utilize Magic, Instant, Upgrade, and Downgrade cards to impede your opponents’ advancement and annihilate their Unicorns. However, be cautious because every player has access to these tools, and a well-timed “Neigh!” card may thwart your strategy. Prepare to wreck your friendships, but in a fun way.

Shit Happens

Let’s face it – Shit Happens to all of us, right? So we’ve turned it into a game full of shitty situations that you’ll have to rank from bad, to awful, to WTF!

This Full of Shit edition comes with the original 200 Shit Happens situation cards, plus an additional 100 card set exclusive to Amazon. For 2 or more players, ages 18 and up.

True Colors

Do your friends think you’ve had the most love-at-first-sight experiences? Would you be the choice for picking a winning lottery ticket…and then losing it? Read a card, and vote for the player you think fits the description.

Guess how many votes you’ll receive to earn points. Then check the secret ballot box to see if you scored big! With 170 questions to choose from, start another round of play and let the laughs – and the voting – begin. The player with the highest score after 10 rounds wins!

Sip It Party

Get ready to shake up your next game night with Sip It! All you need are a couple of fun friends and some frosty beverages to play. Players take turns drawing cards with tasks ranging from ridiculous antics to mild public embarrassment.

If a task is too sour for your taste, you’ll need to take a sip or lose points! The player with the most points at the end of the game wins. It’s straight-up fun with a few dashes of laughter blended in to make the best night ever! Paper umbrellas not included.

Cards Against Humanity

It’s fairly common knowledge that this game is very offensive. So if you’re easily offended, it’s a no brainier that this is not the game for you. Lots of sexual cards, a bit of Holocaust ‘humor’ cards, and there are even a card or two in there mentioning pedophilia.

The game is amazing, though, so it’s not really a big deal at all to toss 5 or 6 cards that go to far for us. There are PLENTY more to chose from that are still ridiculous and entertaining, especially if you go into the expansion packs.

Watch Your Mouth

Experience endless laughter and fun with Watch Ya’ Mouth – the hilarious mouth guard party game that originated from viral videos, was launched on Kickstarter, and is now available on Amazon for your enjoyment.

With this competitive and entertaining card-based game, teams of players are challenged to read and interpret phrases while wearing cheek retractors, resulting in endless hilarity.

Suitable for ages 8 and above and with virtually unlimited players when played using our “Alternate” rule set, Watch Ya’ Mouth is the perfect addition to any gathering, party, game night, or family night.

Runes & Regulations Base Game

Runes & regulations is a 2-4 player strategic card game that combines the aggressiveness of a horde of Dragons with the passive-aggressiveness of a suburban Unicorn. Immerse yourself in this world of magic and the mundane by summoning mythical pets and casting powerful spells, all within the comfort of your own home.

Dirty Drawers

Dirty Drawers brings the raunchiness of Cards Against Humanity with the fun of drawing! Unmask your friends’ hidden perversions for all to see on 6 massive dry-erase boards! What cards will be flipped next?

Each round a new adjective, noun, and action are flipped with over a million combinations you’ll never guess what will be drawn next! PLUS some rounds call for interactive play such as drawing the player next to you! Holy Fudgin’ Ship!

Pun Intended

Why did we make a game about puns? Because fun is our res-pun-sibility. Pun Intended is for pun-loving people everywhere! Teams have 1 minute to solve 6 puns that all start with the same letter and score points for each correct pun. The first team to 30 points wins!

If you’re an astronaut and don’t like puns, please accept our Apollo-gees! The game is easy to learn and play in under 20-30 minutes. The suggested age is 13+. Unlike the man addicted to brake fluid who said he could stop at any time, you won’t be able to. Invite over your friends and family for a game night and play in teams or as individuals.

Have you played any of these card games?
